Is Dema a platform or a marketplace? ⨐

Our vision is to build Dema, the platform! A set of smart on-chain contracts (autonomous automated micro-services in mainstream-speak) that anyone can instantiate to build a marketplace at any time without the need for any IT knowledge.

Right now, we're building Dema, the marketplace.

The "build a platform and they will come & create marketplaces" doesn't really work (we've tested that). Why? You need supply and demand to come together. We've been unable to find operators with honed business talent, sufficient drive all the while interested in the same ethos we're espousing for Dema.

We're sure they exist but when you compound the "cold start" issues, it filters out many initially-willing and capable participants. This is made all the more difficult given today's noisy & primarily hyper-short attention span end user environment.

What's the governing ethos at Dema?

"Transparency" & "Intellectual Honesty"!

@Dema, we believe a marketplace should be as thin a wire as possible, collecting nothing more than the cost to operate it. In addition, everything should be transparent, including all its expenses down to every role's salary (pseudonomously) available to anyone at any time!
